Requirement

They were seeking a partner development team to support its existing platform Encompass Management Solution, in its backlog of tickets and feature enhancements. Encompass by iModules is the leading SaaS Constituent Engagement Management provider for educational institutions. Their in-house development team was small with limited output capability. Also, the time to market for the product was very slow. Thus,  they wanted to set up a dedicated standalone team which could be ramped up & down based on demand and budget predictability and also provides output with better turnaround time and efficiency.

Solution

In order to manage product enhancement requirements and deliver feature requests to iModules, RapidValue executed the project in an Agile Scrum Methodology using the AAA (Assess, Adapt and Accelerate) execution framework. An extended eight-member team consisting of a Technical Lead, Developers skilled in .NET and React, QA Engineers and Technical Architect was set up. The team provided support for backlogs of existing tickets and managed product enhancement requirements including building new features. It was done as follows:

  • The team was scaled up to bring it fully into the service delivery mode and the operating model  was evaluated and modified as required.
  • After fine tuning the collaboration model, an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the application was gained to aid in support and development.
  • Continuous Process Improvements were done and DevOps was established.
  • The team planned to work on tickets and enhancements and used the intake process and defined a plan to be executed efficiently.
  • For ticket execution, the team used Jira’s ability to move tickets across each stage  to plan and pick tickets based on priority.
  • With Scrum methodology, the lead developer worked closely with the client’s product management team to identify and prioritize system functionality in the form of a ‘Product Backlog’.
  • Sprints/tickets were planned and prioritized and post sprint delivery the product backlog was analyzed and reprioritized.
