“Mobilebeat was an interesting conference with some of the Fortune 1000 companies addressing their mobile strategy and their future plans. Most of the topics were revolving around advertising, location based solutions and data/analytic. It was good to listen to the mobile strategy of Walmart, IBM, Google, Safeway, Yahoo, LinkedIn, Sephora and many more.On the second day of the conference, there were 9 companies (5 startups & 4 medium sized companies) presenting innovative solutions that they had developed. Most of it is in the location & monitoring space. I got to see couple of interesting solutions – ‘Expect Labs’ which allows developers to build applications that can pull up data from different sources and show results based on what you talk to it – Sound based search). And, Appboy which is a marketing solution for apps – location based push notification, customized content delivery, analytic).
Over all it was a nice experience to attend the Mobile Beat Conference.”
