First 4G Android phone from Sprint – What does it mean for Enterprise Mobility?

Share

HTC Evo, which was released yesterday by Sprint is the first 4G Android phone. According to official statements, this phone will be up-to 10 times faster than phones that are currently on 3G network.

The phone itself may not necessarily make too much impact on the overall mobility landscape – however, this is indicative of a trend which will make enterprise mobility easier. Power-packed devices coupled with blazing fast data speeds will accelerate adoption of enterprise mobility – as defined by accessing and using data from enterprise systems like ERPs and CRMs, and not just mobile e-mail. Though I could certainly get used to faster emails as well!

Please share your thoughts  on how 4G will impact enterprise mobility.
